An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Cancer Care team as a Senior Occupational Therapist. This position aims to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to cancer care clients and their carers. The successful incumbent will provide advanced clinical services across Oncology, Palliative Care, and Lymphoedema, supporting patients in both hospital and home settings to achieve optimal health outcomes.

As a Senior Clinician, you will provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development to occupational therapy staff, while also offering specialist support in complex case management. You will demonstrate advanced practice and reasoning skills, working autonomously and exercising professional judgement in novel and critical situations. Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work within a multidisciplinary team alongside allied health, nursing, medical, and administrative staff to ensure seamless care across settings. Your expertise will contribute to evidence-based practice, service innovation, and positive outcomes for clients and families.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, AHPRA and NSW Class C drivers licence or equivalent.
• Extensive advanced level of clinical knowledge and expertise across a range of conditions, including experience in Lymphoedema management, or willingness to undertake recognised training.
• Demonstrated high level skills in verbal and non-verbal communication with consumers, teams and other stakeholders, including excellence in negotiation, decision making, advocacy and collaborative consultation. Demonstrated experience in clinical documentation and formal reporting.
• Demonstrated well developed clinical knowledge and problem solving skills in an acute hospital or ambulatory setting within a multidisciplinary team, with ability to provide clinical services to client groups of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
• Demonstrated experience and skill in providing clinical leadership, consultation, supervision and education for staff, students and external parties.
• Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
• Demonstrated ability to advise, lead and participate in service development, change management and quality improvement initiatives within the OT environment and more broadly across a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision- making and commitment to ongoing education / professional development.
