The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

In this influential position, you'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver expert clinical consultation, guide comprehensive assessments, and facilitate seamless transition planning and care pathway identification for those eligible for the PCLI program. Working in close partnership with the PCLI Coordinator, you'll drive clinical excellence within the Specialist Living Support (SLS) Model of Care across NBMLHD.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership and significant clinical experience as follows:
• Social Worker Level 3: Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership of AASW,
• Occupational Therapist Level 3: Degree in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist,
• Clinical Nurse Specialist 2: Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse division 1 with at least 3 years full time equivalent post registration experience (with current AHPRA registration), and in addition post graduate qualification in the specialty field.
• Senior Psychologist: Full registration with AHPRA and completion of a minimum one-year full time equivalent hours at the 9th year of service for a psychologist.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions, experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Demonstrated ability to lead clinical practice in care planning and delivery of care to people with complex mental health issues within a recovery framework.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders involved in consumer care.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Strategic Plan, and Policy Frameworks which impact on current mental health practice (including PCLI).
• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work independently, effectively managing competing workload priorities.
• High level written communication skills including advanced report writing and the ability to use a range of computer systems and applications to collect and analyse data and produce reports.
• Current Driver's License and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
