As we continue to grow and strengthen our operational foundations, we're looking for a passionate and proactive People & HSEQ Advisor to support our people systems, training programs, and environmental practices across the group.

This is a role for someone who believes people and performance go hand-in-hand, and who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments where no two days are the same.


The Role

As People & HSEQ Advisor, you'll be a key support across our operations teams, helping to embed our strategic pillars of:

  • People & Culture Collaboration & Care
  • Operational Excellence
  • Customer Service
  • Financial Sustainability

You'll work closely with supervisors, managers, and support teams to improve training delivery, strengthen onboarding and workforce capability, promote environmental awareness, and ensure our systems are practical, compliant, and values-driven.


Key Responsibilities

People & Culture

  • Support onboarding, employee lifecycle processes, and workforce engagement
  • Coordinate employee communications, recognition programs, and cultural initiatives
  • Maintain and support implementation of HR policies and procedures

Training & Capability

  • Coordinate training plans, competency matrices, and compliance reporting
  • Support toolbox talks, inductions, and leadership development programs

Environment & Sustainability

  • Assist in monitoring environmental compliance (EPA, waste, water, dust)
  • Support environmental audits, site inspections, and sustainability reporting
  • Coordinate initiatives that promote environmental awareness and ISO compliance

Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain documentation and registers for safety, training, and environment
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and continual improvement programs
  • Support action tracking, incident close-outs, and trend reporting

About You

You're a natural organiser, a people person, and someone who's not afraid to roll up your sleeves and make things better. You bring both heart and structure — and you care about helping people do their best work in safe, sustainable ways.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in a People, Safety, HR or Environmental role (civil or construction preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ISO systems: 45001, 14001, 9001
  • Knowledge of Australian Environmental and WHS legislation and regulations
  • Confidence using training matrices, registers, and compliance systems
  • Strong admin and coordination skills — detail matters to you
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across teams and levels
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as required
  • Qualifications in HR, WHS, Environmental Science, or similar (desirable)
  • A growth mindset and a genuine belief in creating a Culture of Care
