Join a market leading defendant insurance team handling complex workers' compensation claims and broader personal injuries defence work. You'll work closely with eminent Partners on quality files, in a practice known for smart processes, practical client service, and a genuinely supportive culture.

The Role

  • Defend high value workers' compensation claims.
  • Advise insurers, self-insureds and corporates on liability, quantum, strategy and risk.
  • Draft concise advices, submissions and correspondence; appear at conferences, mediations and trials.
  • Collaborate with Partners on strategy for significant matters; contribute to workflow/process improvement.
  • Depending on level, provide guidance to junior lawyers / paralegals.

About You

  • 5+ years' PAE in personal injuries law (defendant or plaintiff), with demonstrable workers' compensation experience.
  • Strong litigation skills: file control, drafting, negotiations and stakeholder management.
  • Detail-focused, deadline-driven and comfortable working both autonomously and in a close team.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with an ability to translate legal issues into practical advice.
