The West Coast Eagles is an iconic Australian sporting brand with over 100,000 members. The Club formed in August 1986, playing its first official match for premiership points in 1987. Our women's side played its first game for AFLW premiership points in February 2020. Since then, the club has enjoyed significant success, winning premierships in 1992, 1994, 2006 and 2018. The club also has wide-spanning community and regional programs and is invested in a number of charity organisations, including the Waalitj Foundation.

About the role

The Club has a full-time opportunity for a Partnerships Account Manager to join their Commercial Operations department. In this role, you'll play a vital part in servicing key partners of the West Coast Eagles partnership portfolio.

Under the guidance of the Manager, Partnerships and Business Development, you'll not only assist them but also independently oversee several important partnership accounts. Your main responsibility will involve nurturing relationships, fulfilling contractual commitments for partnership accounts, identifying fresh avenues for growth, and contributing to the overall strategic enhancement of the partnerships department.

Key responsibilities will include:


• Manage and service a portfolio of key commercial partnership accounts.


• Manage internal stakeholder relationships to allow all partner deliverables to be completed.


• Full campaign management delivery; planning, execution and post campaign reporting.


• Assist the Commercial Partnerships Manager to ensure partnership accounts are leveraging their relationship with the club.


• Manage a West Coast Eagles function room on match days or alternative match day role as determined by the Commercial Partnerships Manager.


• Maintain and manage a database of sponsorship contacts.


• Manage all AFL and club approvals of partner deliverables as required.


• Other tasks as directed by the Commercial Partnerships Manager.

Due to the nature of the industry and this role, there is an inherent requirement to work home match days and other club events which will include working some evenings and weekends.

Our ideal person

This role will suit a proactive, relationship-focused strategist with strong communication skills and a track record in partnership management.

Additionally, it would be ideal if you had:


• Previous experience in AFL industry, sports industry, partnership management or marketing would be highly regarded.


• Advanced computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


• Strong organisational skills.


• Design skills in In-design, Photoshop or similar would be desirable.


• The successful candidate must be a strong cultural fit with the organisation.


• Tertiary qualifications in a Marketing, Communications or Business related discipline would be highly regarded.
