About The Role
We're looking for a skilled and confident Security Business Manager to oversee a large, diverse portfolio across Sydney and wider NSW.
Reporting to the NSW General Manager, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on accountability, leadership, and delivering results across multiple sites. You'll take ownership of day-to-day operations while building strong client relationships, ensuring compliance, leading teams, and identifying opportunities for growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role with scope to shape how services are delivered across corporate, retail and government clients. We need someone who's ready to lead from the front and can bring energy, clarity and direction to a busy, fast-paced portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and develop site-based teams across a broad range of client sites
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, with a focus on retention and service delivery
- Manage day-to-day operations including staffing, compliance, reporting and safety
- Drive financial performance across the portfolio, including revenue targets and cost control
- Build and manage cost-effective rosters that meet compliance and operational needs
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, including after-hours support as required
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, recruitment, and rostering teams
- Support new business proposals, contract renewals, and service expansions
- Coach and develop staff through regular performance conversations and support
- Interpret and apply awards and enterprise agreements to real-world staffing requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years in a management role within security, events, logistics, or facilities
- Proven experience leading teams across multiple locations
- Clear communicator with strong client engagement and negotiation skills
- Confident with operational systems including Microsoft Office, rostering and payroll tools
- Understanding of P&L and workforce planning principles
- Experience with awards, EAs and performance management processes
- Calm, reliable and solutions-focused, especially under pressure
Desirable Requirements
- Security industry experience in a similar portfolio-based leadership role
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- A hands-on, proactive approach to leadership and service delivery
