We are a family owned, and family run operation, and now we are looking for our newest member.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a Business and Finance Manager who has both a financial and operational background with a passion for fresh produce. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities of the business, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reporting and statutory filings.

With your strong operational background, you will be embedded in the daily operations, including establishing best practice, system, process and operational improvements, bookkeeping and day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial data.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves both the hands-on execution of the finance function, as well as stretching up and out into both strategic and operational impact.

The key responsibilities for the role

  • Develop and execute financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings, and financial reporting standards (with support from external partners).

  • End-to-end financial operations including hands-on execution of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and bookkeeping duties.

  • MYOB data input, integration and management.

  • Maintain accurate ledgers, records and prepare the business for audit.

  • Manage statutory fillings (e.g. Tax, GST)

  • Prepare regular financial reporting and month/year end close processes.

  • Maintain financial policies and procedures.

  • Foster and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Consistent focus on continually improving business and financial operations.

  • Promote data-driven insights and decisions across finance and operations.

Skills & Qualifications required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven experience in finance/accounting roles, including hands-on bookkeeping.

  • Demonstrated success in an operational leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software MYOB.

  • Strong financial modelling, reporting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Experience in SME and growing businesses preferred.
