An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Special Education Services to influence inclusive practices across diverse school communities while
enjoying the unique lifestyle and natural beauty of the Whitsunday region
.

Reporting to the Principal of Collinsville State High School, you will coordinate and support the Special Education Programs across participating schools, building staff capability and fostering a shared commitment to high-quality teaching and learning for students with disability.

This role leads Inclusive Education across a collaborative cluster of North Queensland schools.
Whitsunday Cluster includes: Collinsville State High School (base school), Collinsville State School, Scottville State School, Merinda State School, Hamilton Island State School and Hayman Island State School.

This is a temporary full-time position to commence from 22 January
until 11 December 2026, with possibility of extension, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
As the Head of Special Education Services you will

  • Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
  • Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies.
