As a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Wellbeing Project Officer at the University of Melbourne's Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health (CERSH), you'll be at the forefront of improving sexual health services in rural Victoria. Based in Shepparton or Wangaratta, you'll lead projects that build workforce capacity, strengthen community action, and enhance access to vital health services. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on public health outcomes while working with diverse communities across regional Victoria.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead Health Promotion:
Develop and implement evidence-informed workforce capacity building and health promotion initiatives.Coordinate Projects:
Plan, implement, and evaluate sexual and reproductive health projects in partnership with local communities and agencies.Build Partnerships:
Collaborate with various stakeholders to improve sexual health services and influence policy.Disseminate Knowledge:
Contribute to reports, publications, and forums to share best practices in rural sexual health.Evaluate Impact:
Support the evaluation of programs and prepare high-quality reports for stakeholders.Enhance Community Action:
Strengthen local networks and empower communities to take action on sexual health issues.
You may be a great fit if:
You hold a relevant tertiary degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Development, Nursing, or a related field, with a passion for improving sexual and reproductive health in rural communities.
You may also:
Have demonstrated knowledge of sexual and reproductive health issues in rural Victoria.
Possess excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
Show strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with experience in building partnerships.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom for virtual collaboration.
Demonstrate high-level planning, organisational, and time management skills.
Have the ability to work independently and exercise initiative in a dynamic environment.
Be willing to travel extensively throughout regional Victoria.
