The Opportunity

As a Transmission Line Site Manager, your typical day starts onsite, where you lead the coordination of construction activities and ensure safety, quality, and progress remain on track. You'll be the central point of contact between contractors, engineers, and project managers. Resolving issues in real-time and ensuring that work is carried out according to design specifications, environmental requirements, and WHS standards.

You'll regularly be identifying and documenting leading safety indicators, conduct inspections, review construction drawings, monitor contractor performance, and keep project records up to date. When technical or contractual questions arise, you'll work closely with internal teams to find practical solutions. You might be guiding pre-start meetings, resolving an on-site material delivery challenge, or reviewing testing and commissioning checklists for sign-off.

You Will:

  • Lead daily on-site activities, coordinating with contractors, delivery managers, and technical teams
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture on site, proactively identifying risks, driving safe work practices, and ensuring all activities align with WHS standards
  • Ensure construction work meets safety, environmental, and technical standards
  • Oversee documentation, progress records, inspections, and compliance
  • Participate in project meetings and site audits, and respond proactively to emerging issues

About You

You are an organised and hands-on site professional with experience managing complex infrastructure construction projects. You bring with you a strong focus on safety culture. Your strength lies in working within a large and diverse team as well as coordinating people and solving problems under pressure. You're motivated by outcomes and take pride in contributing to projects that serve a greater purpose.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Cert III in Transmission Trade certificate or Diploma (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical) or Project Management
  • Extensive experience in HV transmission line construction, testing, and commissioning
  • A leader in safety bolstered by a strong understanding of WHS and environmental legislation
  • Proficiency in digital systems or project management tools
  • Current NSW Driver's License and willingness to travel across NSW
