As the Senior Manager for ANZ Public Policy, you will develop and implement an engagement strategy with policymakers, stakeholders and opinion leaders in Australia and New Zealand. The issues you will oversee include but are not limited to gaming, child safety, artificial intelligence, privacy, and consumer protection. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, driven to develop and execute creative strategies to advance Roblox's business and priorities in the ANZ.

This role plays a critical part in shaping Roblox's future in Australia by establishing and executing effective public policy strategies. By ensuring compliance, addressing policy issues, and fostering relationships with external partners, this role will contribute to creating a safer and more engaging environment for Roblox's global community of developers and creators.

This role is remote-based in Sydney or Canberra, Australia and will report to the Head of Public Policy for Asia-Pacific.

You Will

  • Maintain and build relationships with ANZ policymakers and political figures
  • Identify, monitor, and analyze policy issues affecting Roblox in ANZ
  • Develop and execute policy strategies around issues important to Roblox
  • Assist the wider public policy team on ongoing projects and initiatives
  • Advise Roblox internal stakeholders on policy matters as inputs to the development of our products and business operations
  • Articulate Roblox's public policy positions and produce briefing papers and consultation responses
  • Be highly supported in your efforts to maintain both a work and personal life, to build your career, and encouraged to take on responsibilities and risks that help you grow

You Have

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Media, Technology, or related field of study or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience working with ANZ policymakers and stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of the ANZ policymaking and public opinion process
  • Extensive experience in intelligence collection and analysis, strategy development, project management, cross-functional partnership
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
