APT (Advanced Polymer Technology) is the leading global manufacturer of polyurethane-based materials, acrylic coatings and synthetic turf products for sporting and recreational applications.
The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth efficient operation of the warehouse, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and achievement of business objectives. A hands-on role, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse functions, ensuring efficient and organied storage, inventory management, and distribution of products. This role includes supervising a team of warehouse staff managing incoming and outgoing shipments and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. The Warehouse Manager will work closely with other departments, such as Sales Customer Service and Logistics, to meet customer demands and maintain optimal stock levels
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Carry out required tasks associated with the receipt of inward goods.
- Maintain Dangerous Goods storage in compliance with all HSE regulations where applicable;
- Supervise, train, and manage warehouse staff to ensure productivity, safety and engagement;
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
- Ensure products are stored safe, organised, and accessible manner to minimise damage and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate Sales, Customer Service and Logistics teams to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely deliverables.
- Maintain clean and tidy warehouse.
- Ensure all returns are accurate;
- Implement and maintain warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
- Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse activities including inventory levels, shipment statuses, and operational performance.
- Notify relevant parties of any non -conformance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within warehouse operations.
- Other duties as directed by management.
Who you are:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Degree in logistics, supply chain management or related field is a plus;
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial position;
- Strong leadership and team management skills;
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems Microsoft Office Suite;
- Knowledge of inventory control and logistics procedures;
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jacks) and enforce safely protocols.
