About the Job

This is a pivotal finance position within a growing business, perfect for an experienced Finance Manager wanting to take ownership of a multi-entity environment, or a finance professional with solid experience in accounting and reporting who is ready to take on broader responsibility.

Reporting directly to the Group CFO and working closely with the senior management team, you'll be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and accurate reporting. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on financial operations, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations across group entities
  • Process and review financial transactions, including accruals and journal entries
  • Manage general ledger, month-end close, and inter-company reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and process monthly depreciation journals
  • Oversee payroll processing, superannuation, and related reporting
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax, and FBT returns
  • Support compliance requirements (GST, FBT, income tax) and financial audits
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management
  • Continuously improve financial processes and reporting systems
  • Support onboarding/offboarding of employees from a financial compliance perspective

The Ideal Candidate

You are a proactive and detail-driven finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting and reporting. You might currently be operating at the Finance Manager level, or you could be a capable finance professional (Finance Officer, Accountant, Assistant Manager) looking for a role with more breadth, ownership, and impact.

What matters most is your ability to work independently, maintain accuracy under pressure, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not essential)
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards (highly regarded)
  • Experience in BAS preparation, payroll, and general accounting
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive salary package
  • A hands-on, impactful finance role across diverse entities
  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility and autonomy
  • Collaborative, values-driven team culture

If you're an experienced Finance Manager seeking your next challenge, or a finance professional ready for broader responsibility, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and cover letter to Emily Wheeldon (Regional Recruitment Manager), outlining why you'd be a great fit for Aero Healthcare.
