Hours: Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)

About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our professional and dedicated Finance team. This key role ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our financial operations and plays a vital part in supporting the organisation's financial sustainability and strategic objectives.
The Finance Officer is responsible for:
- End-to-end payroll processing in compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and taxation requirements.
- Accounts payable management including supplier payments, reimbursements, and reconciliations.
- Providing back-up support for accounts receivable and billing activities.
- Completing daily, monthly, and year-end reconciliations and assisting with financial reporting.
- Supporting budgeting, audits, compliance, and process improvements.
This position works closely with the Finance Manager and other internal teams to ensure financial operations run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.
About You
You are a detail-oriented, proactive finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative and values-driven environment. You will bring a solid understanding of financial and payroll processes, strong analytical ability, and the capacity to maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Commerce (or working towards).
- Studying towards CA / CPA / IPA certification (desirable).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Finance Officer or Administrator role, ideally within the Not-for-Profit or community services sector.
- Experience using Xero and payroll systems such as Employee Connect (KeyPay) or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of SCHADS Award, Supported Employee Services Award, and/or Nurses Award (highly regarded).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
