Where the team fits in
The Engineering Manager will join the Financial Services Product & Technology Team located in our Financial Services business (which includes Mortgage Choice and finance on ). The Engineering Manager will work within the Application Processing Tribe, leading the engineering squads focused on application workflow and external integrations.

Our Product & Technology team achieves this through building products that deliver exceptional home lending experiences that our brokers and consumers love and through creating business value powered by robust, innovative technology.
What the role is all about
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to a lead high-performing engineering squad, drive technical excellence, and deliver on our product roadmap. This role blends technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership to foster a collaborative innovative, and results-driven environment. Day to day you'll do:
Shape and deliver the technical strategy, ensuring system health, engineering quality, and alignment with our tech vision.
Lead solution design, contribute to product strategy, and guide adoption of best practices (design patterns, clean code, TDD).
Own your team's systems end-to-end ("You Own It, You Run It"), ensuring reliability and effective incident response.
Manage and develop 5–8 engineers (up to 12 with partner teams), driving performance, growth, and engagement.
Recruit top talent, onboard new team members, and foster a high-performance culture.
Deliver against the product roadmap, using Agile practices, tracking progress, and managing dependencies.
Who we're looking for
Proven success in leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality, reliable systems.
Expertise in C# and Angular (Kotlin/React a bonus).
Strong knowledge of integration technologies, ideally within the Financial Services industry.
Experience with event-driven architecture.
Familiarity with IBM BPM advantageous.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
