Job Description

As a seasoned accounting professional, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial and capital accounting services across our group and site operations.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead a newly established team, responsible for centralising site accounting activities, managing enterprise capital systems, and driving continuous improvement and standardisation across financial processes.

You will oversee month-end processes, financial journals, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

In addition, you will design and manage capital accounting systems, including WBS structures and fixed asset registers, to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of financial and payroll accountants, with scope for future expansion
  • Oversee month-end processes, financial journals, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations
  • Design and manage capital accounting systems, including WBS structures and fixed asset registers
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in financial accounting and analysis, ideally with experience in Big 4 or mining. You will also have proven leadership experience, especially in managing teams through change, and a strong grasp of month-end close processes and capital accounting.

Additionally, you will bring a track record of leading teams and delivering results in dynamic, evolving environments, excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels, and a continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive innovation and efficiency.
