This is your chance to be a part of Insignia's exciting transformation journey. As Risk Manager – Super Insurance, you'll work within our Line 2 Risk Management team, helping shape our industry-leading function, whilst influencing business change at scale. You'll oversee the risk profile of the Master Trust business unit with a focus on Insurance in Super. You'll partner with stakeholders to embed risk into decision-making, drive cultural change, and deliver better outcomes for members while strengthening our risk practices to a best-in-industry standard.
Key Responsibilities
Framework & Compliance – Lead and embed the Risk and Compliance Framework, ensuring alignment with superannuation laws, APRA/ASIC standards, and trustee obligations.
Assurance & Oversight – Provide independent challenge of risk practices, oversee insurer arrangements, and conduct assurance reviews to test controls, frameworks, and performance.
Incident & Breach Management – Assess and advise on incidents and breaches, driving root cause analysis, remediation, and continuous improvement.
Reporting – Deliver clear, accurate reporting to trustee boards and committees.
Stakeholder Engagement – Be a trusted business partner: Influence, challenge, and support stakeholders to embed risk into decision-making and drive a culture of accountability.
Shape the function – Contribute ideas, solutions, and fresh perspectives to help build a leading, future-focused risk capability.
What You Will Bring
Degree qualified, 5+ years' experience in a risk and compliance role, preferably with a focus on governance/risk management/compliance tasks either in Industry or Consulting.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to superannuation funds and Insurance in Super.
Experience working in or with complex businesses undergoing significant transformation.
Exposure to Insurance is essential, with experience in Super or Life Insurance highly advantageous.
Ability to drive behavioural and mindset changes with key stakeholders, and the ability to influence with impact.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to prepare well-articulated written documents.
Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.
A transformation mindset – passionate about building, shaping, and elevating risk practices to a best-in-industry standard.
