About the Role
As Financial Controller, you will take charge of the finance function across multiple dealerships in Tasmania. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you\'ll be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, delivering accurate and timely reporting, and partnering with operational managers to drive commercial outcomes. This is a pivotal leadership role with genuine scope to make a lasting impact on the group\'s continued success.
Key responsibilities
Overseeing financial operations, reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
Leading month-end and year-end close processes.
Preparing and presenting management reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Supporting the CFO and leadership team with strategic financial planning.
Mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team.
About You
We\'re looking for an accomplished finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced automotive dealership environment.
You will bring:
Automotive dealership experience (non-negotiable requirement).
CA/CPA qualification and proven post-qualification experience.
Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS / Australian standards).
Commercial acumen with the ability to turn data into business insights.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
A hands-on, proactive, and collaborative style.
