What You'll Do
Become a trusted advisor to the APAC commercial team, provide pragmatic guidance on commercial issues to ensure Mambu can grow its business effectively and in a compliant manner.
Provide legal support in all stages of commercial transactions and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (SaaS agreements, channel partner agreements etc.).
Draft and negotiate agreements for strategic business opportunities.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the Commercial, Product and Business Support teams.
Identify and escalate (or assist in escalating) legal and regulatory risks and assist in designing solutions to mitigate those risks.
Educate Sales and other teams of Mambu about the legal topic affecting the business; developing legal playbooks, guidelines and processes - be the advocate of the Mambu Legal team in the organisation
Lead and support initiatives of other departments (finance, product, marketing) that enable Mambu's further growth in an efficient and legally sound manner.
What You'll Bring
A degree in law from a reputable university, LL.M preferred;
Minimum 8 years PQE experience gained in private practice and as an in-house lawyer
Contracting experience in the software and SaaS and ability to independently lead complex contract negotiations is a must;
Knowledge of data protection laws in the APAC region;
Affinity with financial outsourcing regulations applicable in the APAC region;
Knowledge of the financial services industry, including high-level understanding of the regulatory frameworks applicable to Mambu's customers;
A high level of technical legal and contract drafting skills;
Excellent spoken and written English is essential; at least one other regional language would be an advantage.
