Investment NSW seeks to appoint a commercial, people oriented leader as NSW Trade & Investment Commissioner, ASEAN based in Singapore.
- Based in Singapore, responsible for the markets of Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.

**The Position**

Southeast Asia is one of the world’s fastest-growing regions and a key economic and strategic partner for Australia and NSW. The recently published "Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040", acknowledges that the ASEAN region is experiencing immense growth and transformation, bringing substantial opportunities for NSW business.

Amidst the bright prospects for mutual prosperity, Investment NSW seeks to appoint a commercial, people oriented leader as its Trade and Investment Commissioner, ASEAN. The Commissioner will build on the existing partnerships and develop new partnerships across the region to further enhance investment and trade, benefiting both NSW and ASEAN member countries.

The Commissioner reports to Executive Director, Trade & International (who is based in Sydney) and will oversee a footprint spanning Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia. The Commissioner will lead a highly engaged team to facilitate and grow economic and cultural opportunities between ASEAN countries and NSW. Providing strategic insight to internal and external stakeholders on matters related to trade, investment, and economic development across the region is central to this role.

Evidencing a commitment to accountability and governance, the incumbent will demonstrate detailed knowledge in one or more of the NSW Government’s key industry sectors (food and beverage, agribusiness, life sciences, international education, housing and the clean economy).
