**About Us**

The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) is responsible for protecting the community from the effects of fire, road crashes, chemical incidents and other emergencies.

The MFS currently operates 37 fire stations throughout South Australia, including 20 across metropolitan Adelaide and 17 in regional areas across the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North, Far North and Eyre Peninsula, Riverland and Limestone Coast. All MFS fire stations provide emergency response and recovery 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

**About the role**

The Team Leader, Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Advanced Engineering Tradesperson Level II) oversees a team of Engineering Tradespersons, Heavy Diesel Mechanics that contribute to the maintenance of the MFS appliances’ level of preparedness to ensure it meets its service delivery obligations.

The Team Leader, Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Advanced Engineering Tradesperson Level II) is responsible for providing an overall on the job leadership role to Advanced Engineering Tradespersons to in undertaking repairs and maintenance to manufacturer’s, industry and MFS standards, on a wide variety of specialised equipment associated with fire appliances, motor vehicles and other equipment used by the MFS which ensures the maintenance of the MFS fleet capability and their timely return to operational service.

**Remuneration**:
M6
$43.20 - $44.10 per hour
