Our client is a leading NDIS Disability Support Organisation committed to delivering the highest quality professional & personalised care whilst helping clients lead a fulfilling life. They operate multiple supported independent living (SIL) & Child, Youth & Family (CYF) facilities and community programs for their participants across Melbourne South East.

They are seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Officer to join their growing team. This role will work closely with the Authorised Program Officer (APO), and staff across the business to ensure quality, compliance and implementation of positive behaviour support (BSP) plans and practices.

Key responsibilities include:

- Review all client Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) to ensure compliance with clinical and NDIS requirements
- Consult with staff, clients, families, carers and service providers to advise on positive behaviour plan implementation
- Implement quality person-centred interventions to address challenging behaviours
- Ensure all BSP plans meet legislative and organizational requirements before they are authorized by the APO and VSP (Victorian Senior Practitioner)
- Ensure reporting obligations to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission are met
- Assist in administrative tasks, collating information, reference checking and researching best practices
- Assisting in internal audits of BSP across the business and in residential service houses
- Experience working in Community Care/NDIS in a compliance role
- Understanding of the Disability Act and NDIS legislative operating requirements
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated & organised
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Working with Children Check, NDIS Screening Check & Police Check
- Covid Vaccinated
- Working rights in Australia
