The City is seeking a Waste Management Business Officer to be the custodian for the City’s waste business customer relationships. This position will provide a high level of customer service to external and internal customers of the Waste and Cleaning Team and actively contribute to business development within the City by promoting responsible waste minimisation and recycling to City of Perth businesses.

Reporting to the Waste Projects Coordinator, this position will support the City by:

- Supporting the Waste Education Team in educating business stakeholders to achieve better waste management and resource recovery outcomes.
- Preparing tenders, expressions of interest, and formal quotation documentation in accordance with the City’s procurement requirements, including participating in assessment/evaluation panels, report writing, and execution of contracts.
- Investigating and interpreting the waste management needs of the business community in line with government legislation, environmental guidelines, and the City’s compliance responsibilities.
- Reviewing and following up business customers to assess and document service activities and their effectiveness.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in promoting waste and street cleaning services that are tailored to meet individual customer needs.
