This role is ideal for an experienced workers compensation professional with good knowledge of the NSW legislation looking to expand their skills and grow their career.

Technical Specialist - Eligibility within the Nominal Insurer space, you will be an expert in all elements eligibility/liability in the claim. Working with the Claims team, you will assist in complex enquires, monitor provisional liability during the first 12 weeks, manage reasonable excuses and ensure the right decisions have been made. Your technical ability is key and you will have a passion for coaching & mentoring claims teams through this process.

This is a permanent full-time role with the option to work from home 3 days a week based in Sydney CBD & flexible working arrangements including 9 days fortnights & flexible start/finish times.

**The Role**:

- Work with the centralised Technical Specialist team, monitoring liability referrals from claims staff and working with them to ensure the right decision is achieved.
- Assist with complex liability decisions, including journey claims, previous claims, etc.
- Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**About You**:

- Strong technical experience in eligibility is required, as is a confidence in the NSW workers compensation scheme.
- A passion and ability to coach & mentor claims staff
- Superior time management and negotiating skills
- Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Have a genuine, caring nature that put customers at the heart of what you do, showing empathy in all circumstances
