The Proximity Consulting group provides astute advice and solutions on some of the most interesting and complex work in Commonwealth government programs and projects. As part of our Regulatory Design and Practice team you will work closely with regulators to design, deliver, evaluate and improve their service offer across the full regulatory lifecycle.

**Responsibilities**
Some of the responsibilities could include:
- Interpreting, mapping and reviewing legislation and regulatory regimes.
- Designing and coordinating regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Undertaking business process mapping to design, develop or improve regulatory processes.
- Undertaking reviews of emerging issues in regulatory domains.
- Designing and implementing risk-based approaches.
- Monitoring and reporting on compliance and enforcement activities.
- Drafting client reports, briefings, policies, and procedures.
**Qualifications**
As a Proximity team member, your role is that of a trusted sidekick - helping our clients' teams succeed by embracing the complexity and sensitivity of commercial law issues and knowing how to be helpful in the context of the public sector environment.

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:
- 2+ years' experience, preferably within a government or consulting environment
- Demonstrated experience across the regulatory lifecycle (including policy development, compliance, enforcement, review etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of Proximity's other consulting service offerings
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills
- Desire to work closely with clients, being adaptable and responsive
- Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
- Experience working with legislation and regulatory policy as a lawyer, senior policy officer, economist or consultant
