**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Maribyrnong Community Residential Facility provides short-term accommodation for men exiting the prison system, who would otherwise be homeless. The facility is a measure to help residents find suitable long-term accommodation and assist with transiting them into the community.
The primary objective of the Team Leader position is to ensure, on a day-to-day basis, the supervision of the Residential Support Officers and service provision in line with the stipulated service agreement.

**Duties of a MCRF Team Leader will include**:

- Oversee Residential Security Officers (RSOs) daily duties and rotation through various posts (reception, gate house, community walks, and control room)
- Observe RSOs on duty posts to confirm procedural knowledge is up to date
- Manage RSO performance and behaviour, providing developmental feedback as required
- Manage Resident admission and discharge, providing orientation with the facility and key policies (e.g. curfew, special arrangements, meal times/process)
- Complete timely, accurate and detailed incident reports, while managing each incident end-to-end in accordance with G4S operating instructions and CV Commissioner Requirements (as applicable)

**Essential requirements for the role**:

- Previous experience in managing people in large community groups, residential facility, correctional facility or crowd control
- Demonstrated staff management and positive interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate and ability to produce word documents and excel workbooks
- Empathetic and possessing an understanding about the duty of care to G4S employees, clients and other stakeholders
- Desired State security licence (or be prepared to complete in own time within 12 months of employment)
