**Traffic Response Officer**

In this role, you will provide safe and effective traffic and incident management solutions to our stakeholders, working to minimize disruptions and enhance road safety. You will patrol both minor and major network routes, proactively identifying and responding to incidents and hazards. Your primary duties will include:

- Rapidly responding to traffic incidents such as road traffic crashes, breakdowns, and various other hazards.
- Providing immediate assistance to motorists, including basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Coordinating with emergency services and road authorities to reduce the potential for secondary incidents, delays, and congestion.
- Implementing temporary traffic control measures and road closures as needed.
- Maintaining continuous two-way communication with traffic management centres and stakeholders via radio and digital platforms.
- Conducting proactive patrols to identify and address potential road hazards before they escalate.

**About you**
- Current and valid MR class drivers’ licence
- Impeccable driving history (past 5 years)
- General Induction White Card
- Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, nightwork and work across various locations
- Emergency Services experience an advantage
- Computer literate and able to use smart phones, tablets, and computer systems
- Great communication skills and ability to manage conflict situations
- Good problem-solving ability
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
