We are seeking an experienced Technical Officer to join one of our major government clients for an immediate start. You will be responsible for assisting the laboratory function by ensuring all samples are appropriately prepared and analysed in a timely manner while assisting with various other laboratory duties, to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.

**The Role**

Key responsibilities include:

- Driving to multiple sites to collect water samples
- Ensure team goals are achieved by providing input into decision making and problem solving
- Testing of samples (pH, BOD, COD, Suspended Solids, Alkalinity and Turbidity)
- Ensuring samples are completed in a timely manner and correct methods, procedures and work instructions are used and adhered to
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory operations

**Experience Required**
- Degree level qualifications in Chemistry, or related area, or equivalent
- Experience in a similar lab-based chemistry/laboratory position
- Experience in Turbidity (essential)
