**Position Information**:
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
**About the Role**
In this role you will be responsible for the supervision of a departmental school's sport and physical recreation programme.
To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.
**Responsibilities include**
Managing and enhancing the school's sport and physical recreation programme, resources and facilities in accordance with departmental policy and procedures
Liaising with clubs to develop best practice in coaching and youth development
Developing an approach to increase participation and to promote the sports programs

**Temporary fulltime appointment for a period of up to two years with the possibility for extension, and potential for ongoing employment for ongoing in the future.**

Hurlstone Agricultural High School is the only NSW Government fully selective, coeducational, agricultural, boarding high school. It is located in Glenfield, 36 km south west of the Sydney central business district.
