**Your next career opportunity**
Appointed at either Level A or Level B, depending on your experience, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a crucial role in advancing human biomonitoring of plastic-associated chemicals. You'll have the opportunity to develop innovative analytical techniques for detecting compounds in blood and urine, and validate microsampling methods for scalable, community-based exposure assessment. Working within the Australian Laboratory for Emerging Contaminants and the Pollution & Health Hallmark Research Initiative, you'll contribute to a multidisciplinary research program with global impact.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Conduct Innovative Research: Develop advanced metabolite profiling methods or microsampling technologies for plastic-associated chemicals.
- Publish and Present Findings: Contribute to high-impact journal publications and present at international conferences.
- Collaborate and Engage: Work within a multidisciplinary team and engage with industry partners and stakeholders.
- Secure Funding: Contribute to research proposal submissions for internal and external funding bodies.
- Coordinate Graduate Research Administration: Manage student/supervisor databases, process financial matters, and organise key events like confirmation seminars.

**You may be a great fit if**:
You are a highly motivated researcher with a PhD in environmental or analytical chemistry, possessing expertise in advanced mass spectrometry techniques and a strong publication record, ready to contribute to innovative biomonitoring research.

**You may also**:

- Have a PhD (or near completion) in environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field.
- Possess demonstrated experience in advanced environmental analytical mass spectrometry.
- Have a strong research aptitude and publication record commensurate with opportunity.
- Excel in cooperative teamwork and communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Show commitment to scientific engagement and research impact communication.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with student information systems.
