Full time, fixed-term 12-month position
$107,962 - $120,556 per annum plus RDO leave and Super
In this role, you will lead and contribute to the development and delivery of a variety of projects, identifying opportunities for innovation and service improvement for the Arts, Culture and Economic Development department. Additionally, you will provide project support to department leads and ensure the delivery of high-level administrative support services. Success in this role will be measured by the timely and budget-conscious delivery of projects, increased customer satisfaction, and reduced risk.
You will also provide leadership and support to your team, coordinating staff procurement processes, defining role expectations, and monitoring performance. You will ensure resources are effectively deployed through strong workforce planning practices and actively champion Council’s values and behaviours.
A little bit about the role
As the Projects and Office Lead, you will be at the forefront of creating, coordinating, and delivering key projects and programs for the Arts, Culture and Economic Development Department. You will lead a team of two direct reports, focusing on developing an events management framework and guiding local business and community groups to stage major events safely and effectively.
Your role will also involve coordinating events permits, supporting the development of a centralized permits approach across the council, and assisting in municipal emergency responses.

Employment Requirements
A tertiary qualification in business administration, project management and/or considerable experience in a related field.
Demonstrated program management and delivery experience that demonstrates the ability to coordinate the end-to-end process with mínimal supervision.
Experience in managing projects in which initiative and creative thinking have been demonstrated.

Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
