**THE ROLE**

The Assistant Manager, Financial Accounting and Reporting is second in charge to the Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager. The role assists with the management of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Unit, including its staff and deliverables. The main deliverables include the preparation the Department's annual statutory reporting, including managing the Victorian auditor General's office requirements; monthly analysis and reporting of the portfolio's financial results to the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) and a number of other activities including:

- ; the financial viability analysis of funded organisations;
- ; assisting with the department's taxation obligations;
- ; chart of account management; and
- ; providing financial accounting and reporting technical advice to program managers and the Department's Executive.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Take a lead role in the reporting and analysis of the Department's annual financial statements.
- Assist in the management of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Unit, including its staff and deliverables.
- Comply with the Financial Management Act 1994 and other relevant legislation, regulations and government directives, policies and guidelines.
