**The Role**
In this role you will be responsible to RAAF Museum Officer-In-Charge Restoration for:

- Mentoring and supervising the RAAF Museum technical volunteers undertaking restoration activities and other projects;
- Supporting general engineering projects and business outcomes including monitoring databases and publications;
- Supporting the development of complex RAAF Museum restoration projects;
- Preparing technical and regulatory documents in accordance with appropriate work standards including Work Health and Safety standards;
- Monitoring standards and regulatory compliance of RAAF Museum technical work practices;
- Providing technical trade expertise with the maintenance and preservation of Museum artefacts;
- Managing and/or coordinating the servicing, maintenance, testing, calibration and repairs of the RAAF Museum specialist tooling, technical equipment and vehicles;
- Managing purchasing and monitoring consumption of equipment, fuels and oils;
- Preparing and presenting analysis result reports and project solutions to peers, technical leads and senior leaders;
- Rostered unit security duty, impromptu and reactive tasks and occasional overtime duties (including weekend work) when required;
- Representing the RAAF Museum in accordance with Air Force Values and the APS code of conduct.

RAAF Museum seeks a dynamic and motivated Trade Officer to assist general engineering maintenance and preservation of Museum artefacts, as well as supervise RAAF Museum technical volunteers undertaking restoration activities.
- Certificate IV Engineering or similar related qualifications
- 3-5 years’ related work experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering analysis reports
- Expertise in data analysis and problem solving
- Up-to-date knowledge and technical skills required to operate our core equipment and services.
