**Casual Disability Support Worker - Aided Hearts**

**Location**: Melbourne CBD
**Pay Rate**: $34-$40 per hour + Superannuation + Penalty Rates for weekends & public holidays
**Hours**: Flexible - Up to 38 hours per week, depending on client demand & availability. (Most staff work 4-5 days a week. Hours may take time to build.)

**About Aided Hearts**

Aided Hearts is a compassionate, community-driven organisation providing NDIS-funded disability support services. Our mission is to empower individuals to live independently, confidently, and with dignity.

As a Casual Disability Support Worker, you will support participants with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities (mental health), assisting them with daily tasks, social engagement, and community participation.

**What You’ll Do**

4-8hrs a week to start off then more shifts after, for a middle aged Male with psychosocial condition, Daily assistance with day to day tasks, cleaning, warming and preparing meals, personal care, attending appointments with the client. **client really just needs someone they can hang out with and go to appointments and places they want to visit during the day.**

**Daily Living Assistance** - Shopping, attending medical appointments, meal prep, and light household tasks.
**Community Participation** - Supporting clients in social settings (walks, events, café outings).
**Life Skills & Independence** - Assisting with tasks like Centrelink, paying bills, or housing searches.
**Health & Wellbeing** - Encouraging physical activity (gym, outdoor exercise).
**Home & Lifestyle Support** - Light cleaning, gardening, or other tasks supporting independent living.

**About You**

We are looking for **compassionate, reliable, and self-motivated** **FEMALES** who:
**Have excellent interpersonal skills** and enjoy meeting new people.
**Have prior experience** in disability support or mental health (preferred but not essential).
**Want a stable routine** with a commitment of at least **12 months** to ensure consistent client care.
**Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle** (client transport required, with km reimbursement).

**Highly Desirable**:
Relevant qualifications in psychology, social work, disability, mental health, or counselling.

**Required**:
**Legitimate Certifications - Disability, Individual Support, or Mental Health.**
**First Aid & CPR, Manual Handling Training.**
**Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check.**
