Accounts Payable Officer required for a 3 month assignment within the Public Sector

**Your new company**
Our client is a well-known Government Department looking for a full time Accounts Payable Officer for a 3 month temporary assignment.

**Your new role**
You will be responsible for providing purchasing and accounts support to a range of stakeholders within the wider department.

Your duties will include:

- Prepare and process financial transactions in compliance with policies and processes, including accounts payable, requisitions and purchase orders, purchasing card and invoices.
- Prepare weekly payment run for review
- Assist with month end processes, including accruals preparation

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will need to have experience with Oracle, and reporting systems in an AP setting. You will need to be available for an immediate start and be able to productively work within a small & collaborative team.

**What you'll get in return**
This job presents an opportunity to obtain a contract within a well-established Government Department for at least 3 months, with an hourly rate of $46.02 per hour + Super.
