This highly diversified property and development group has a portfolio of commercial and retail assets, as well as PAD sites valued at more than $2Bn. Owing to the growth of their Australian entity, a position has become available locally for a Development Manager to work with the Country Head of Asset and Investment Management to initially manage retail development projects across East Coast of Australia. **About the role** Using your previous development and project management experience you will be involved in the development of PAD sites. The key responsibilities of this role will be as follows: - Manage the upfront process on specific projects including market analysis, financial feasibilities, creating the development brief and project objectives. - Proactively manage the design, planning, and delivery stages of specific projects - Financial management through all the development stages - Procurement and management of Consultants and Contractors - Managing and facilitating CAPEX works - Ensure project delivery meets all key performance outcomes, namely: time, cost, quality, scope, procurement, communication, people management, risk and integration. **About your personal skills**: You'll have a resilient and consultative approach to development management and be confident in communicating and working in partnership with the team. You will immerse yourself into the culture and ethos of the brand to best represent the group values in all matters. You will be working autonomously and be empowered to "own" your area of expertise, with that in mind it is essential that you can prioritize tasks and work towards defined goals. **Core skills and experience must include**: - Bachelor degree in property, architecture, construction management, engineering, or a related discipline - A minimum of 5 years’ experience in both front end and back-end delivery of retail and commercial projects - Proven people management, interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal) - Ability to build networks with Councils and the wider building industry. - Ability to manage and deliver projects autonomously. - Professional and highly driven individual with the ability to adapt to change and work effectively within a team environment. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take on responsibility, and work well under deadlines. **What is on offer?** On offer is the opportunity to work for one of Australia's most successful owners and developers across a wide variety of high-quality assets and land development in a fast-paced, positive environment.
