The **Student Services Adviser **will be responsible for a range of functions contributing to the effective services of students across Higher Education and VET programs.
The role is broad in scope and requires a high degree of initiative and self-management to deal with the full range of activities related to the student lifecycle. The role will deal with all aspects student services including admission, credit assessments, placements and enrolments across all programs and multi partner. The role requires provision of timely and accurate course information including Education placement advice and service to the student and other stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**:
- Student and program policy, procedures and regulations
- Course entry requirements and selection criteria
- Enrolment options, fees, student lifecycle processes including results, progress review, Education placements,
- Articulation and credit transfer arrangements
- Course advice and progression including exit awards
**2. Assist with the professional and timely processing of**:
- All activities related to the initial enrolment of students, the ongoing maintenance of enrolments, amendments and re-enrolment of students
- Process Professional Experience Claim Forms from placement sites, checking details and recording on the Placements Database.
- VET enrolments, study abroad, single unit enrolments and cross faculty enrolments
**3. Maintain effective records of Placements and for pre-service teacher education students**:
- Ensure consistency and quality in the collection of records, standardised responses to stakeholders and placements processes.
- Maintain and update records of placements days to be completed in order to meet course requirements.
- Maintain effective records for pre-service teacher education students.
- Maintain and update records of students’ placement variations and student placement issues.
- Maintain and update records of education settings used for professional experience.
- Maintain and update current records of state based engagement requirements - e.g. Working With Children Checks, Child Protection Awareness Training
4. Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure understanding and proficiency across all student services areas.
