Head of Compliance - Financial crime, project work | Financial services | Offers flexible working

**The Company**

Our client is a prominent player in the financial services industry and is looking for a tenured and capable individual to take on the role of the Head of compliance withing Financial Crime.

**The Role**

In this role you will be leading the compliance function within financial crime and have 2 main components to the role.

Firstly, to support and oversee the BAU aspects of financial crime, including KYC, CTF and AML functions.

Secondly, you would be involved in project work to support a transformation piece in building capabilities and processes for the business.

Maintain compliance frameworks, policies and documentation and lead in regulatory audits.

**Your Profile**

You are an expert in AML/CTF compliance and may be currently working, have worked, or work directly with AUSTRAC, an FIU or in the area of financial crime.

You have demonstrable experience designing and challenging processes, ideally across multiple products.

Proven knowledge across all areas of AML compliance specific to risk assessments, incident management, sanctions, bribery and corruption, KYC, transaction monitoring, assurance scoping, oversight & advice, reporting, and business change

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience as a head of or senior manager
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Finance

**Skills acquired or inherent abilities**
- You have meticulous attention to detail.
- A strong background collaborating with the 1st line to embed policies in to practice
- The ability to will build relationship effectively at all levels to influence and deliver outcomes across the organisation specific to AML Compliance
- Proven leadership experience building capability and performance across an AML Compliance function - you will have a person centred and values based approach
