At Auxilium Recovery Network, we are a group of like-minded individuals with a passion for supporting NDIS participants living with:

- Psychosocial Disabilities e.g. schizoid and anxiety disorders, Post
- Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
- Neurodevelopmental Disabilities e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Intellectual Disability (ID) such as Down Syndrome and learning disabilities.
- Neurological Disabilities e.g. Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), stroke and epilepsy.

Team members are well versed with recovery-oriented principles and mindful of each participant’s unique needs. We carefully select our team members to match our participant’s communication style so they feel heard, understood but most importantly, do not feel judged in any way.

About the role

You will be responsible for the delivery of NDIS funded provision of recovery-based services, supporting participants to understand all aspects of their NDIS plan, to navigate their NDIS provider network and to facilitate their progression towards the achievement of their recovery goals.

You will utilise your interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain enduring professional relationships with participants formal and informal networks.

On a day-to-day basis, you will support participants to access their supports, to monitor/ adhere to their plan budgets and to co-design, create and facilitate innovative approaches towards encouraging individual skills development.

You will provide support, information and advice to NDIS participants on emotional, financial, recreational, health, housing and other social welfare matters, and evaluate and coordinate the services of welfare and community service agencies as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support participants to coordinate and implement their NDIS plan;
- Build a rapport with participants to understand their situation and coordinate the delivery of a range of services, ensuring outcomes are met according to each individual plan;
- Support participants to optimise and implement their NDIS Plan and the available funding;
- Support participants to resolve points of crisis that may occur;
- Provide support, information and advice to NDIS participants on emotional, financial, recreational, health, housing and other social welfare matters;
- Evaluate and coordinate the services of welfare and community service agencies as required;
- Support participants with the development of recovery-enabling relationships and attending related appointments and activities as required;
- Support participants’ engagement with the NDIS;
- Support and encourage participants with a view to increasing their recovery skills and personal capacity, including motivation, strengths, resilience, decision-making and independence;
- Support participants with their recovery planning;
- Collaborate and connect participants with the broader systems of support, including mainstream;
- Transport support and other appropriate support as required.

Selection Criteria - Essential:

- Minimum five (5) of experience working as a key Recovery Support Worker within the NDIS space;
- Proven ability to support participants to pursue their identified NDIS plan/ recovery goals;
- Sound working knowledge of the NDIS, participant plans and budgets;
- Highly experienced in recovery-oriented practice;
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate participants and effectively resolve any points of crisis which many occur;
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and connect participants with broader systems of support including mainstream;
- Practical experience in supporting participants in the development of recovery-enabling relationships and attending related appointments and activities as required;
- Establishment and maintenance of lasting professional relationships with participants’ formal and informal networks;
- Proven experience working closely with CALD communities;
- Current and valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check and C-class Western Australia Driver’s Licence.
