**Introduction**:
This position is an integral part of our management team, responsible for leading and coordinating workshop activities, managing staff, and ensuring the successful execution of manufacturing processes.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves ensuring the efficient execution of production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of innovation within the workshop.

**Description**:
**As the Manufacturing Manager, you will**:

- Manage and lead workshop activities, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Supervise workshop staff and apprentices, providing guidance and support to maximise individual and team performance.
- Collaborate with Project, Design and Automation teams to optimise processes and establish production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and cost control measures.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to guarantee optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels and liaise with procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide regular reports to the Operations Manager on manufacturing performance, challenges, and improvements.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align manufacturing goals with overall company objectives.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for workshop staff and identify opportunities for skill development and training.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Mechanical trade qualification with relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in automated machinery production.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
