**Your New Role**
As the Business Development Manager, you'll report directly to the National Sales Director and leverage all available resources to provide exceptional service and exceed client expectations.

Your primary duty is to expand the client's market in an uncapped territory by actively pursuing new business opportunities. This position requires a strong aptitude for prospecting and generating leads.
- Identify, target, and secure new business.
- Develop, report, and pursue a continuing active pipeline
- Prepare and present proposals and tenders to senior decision-makers
- Negotiate rate and service agreements with prospects and service providers
- Design and implement standard operating procedures for new business
- Planning and developing presentations
- Assisting in the development of marketing literature
- Building and developing relationships with potential clients

**What you will need to succeed**:

- You will be an experienced Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Freight Forwarding Sales
- Local Market experience is essential
- Previous management experience with a strong ability to drive, develop and motivate team members
- Advanced negotiation and relationship skills
- Experience influencing and engaging key figures in client organizations
- Strong financial expertise with demonstrated ability to develop and implement business structures
- Positive and professional attitude
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- High attention to detail and strong planning and organizing skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
