**The Opportunity**:
Reporting into the Wholesale Risk Leader, the Credit Risk Analyst in the Wholesale Risk team participates in key risk management activities including quantitative risk analysis and operations for identifying and measuring of risks related to wholesale and retail market activities.
An opportunity to have direct exposure to a highly regarded trading team, along with working with and learning from an experienced and extremely knowledgeable team lead.
**Your Impact will be**:
As a member of the Wholesale Risk Team you will provide technical credit risk management advice and analysis to assist decision-making and oversight of EnergyAustralia’s risk exposure. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Timely assessment of Credit Risk of counterparties to EnergyAustralia over a range of different commodity wholesale and retail markets.
- Tracking of credit risk metrics and regular compilation of reports to senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Providing governance and controls around the activities and operations of the trading team at EnergyAustralia.
- Support EnergyAustralia’s compliance with AML/CTF regulations by performing counterparty checks and Know Your Customer (KYC) activities, in line with regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
- Support the broader risk team with market risk activities.
**About You**:
- Tertiary Qualification in a Quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, computer science, finance or equivalent)
- Ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative information in order to assess risk of trading counterparties at a comprehensive level
- Proven operational excellence, demonstrating understanding of processes and regulations, attention to detail and timely delivery of results
- Experience with financial risk assessment tools (risk metrics, cash flow at risk, stress testing)
- Knowledge of cloud-computing environments (favourable but not mandatory)
