We are looking for a Release Coordinator for a 6 month contract with a VIC Government agency in Melbourne. The role has a requirement of working 3 days from the office located in CBD.

The Release Coordinator/Configurator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the end-to-end software development release process for the Application Development Team.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for seamless delivery of all implementation deployment activities
- Advisory and contributes to implementation planning across all IT projects
- Maintain full engagement with all stakeholders
- Leads all implementation activities related to specific releases and coordinates deliverables with all stakeholders
- Responsible for the successful implementation of assigned release
- Manages and performs deployment planning and co-ordination with affected stakeholders
- Communicates the status of release implementations
- Identification of resources (software, processes and procedures, and staff) required for a release
- Creates a plan for continuity of service including roll back steps and go/no-go timings of activities
- Management of risks and issues related to the deployment activities
- Responsible for creating the deployment run-sheet for physical deployment
- Manages all stakeholders that have tasks to perform during the deployment
- Based on input from associated stakeholders including time, issues and risk during the deployment, makes decision to roll back the release
- Creates post deployment reports including improvement recommendations for other deployments
- Creates requests for change (RFC to production and staging) and obtains appropriate approvals
- Facilitates emergency releases from production incident identification to incident closure after release
- Identifies opportunities to make tactical improvements to the release management process
- Maintains documentation of all processes
- Responsible for configuration changes on the platform
- Creates release management standards to be followed. Educates external vendors on the release methodology and strategy.
- Collects feedback from the users of release management standards and identifies the need to modify or retire a standard based on the feedback.
- Strictly manages timing and coordination of test runs with competing projects and client stakeholders sharing pre-production test environments.
- Manages overall non-production environment usage, configuration, and scheduling of the different test environments for each release.

**Key skills and experience**:

- A passion for Innovation, Agile and delivering exceptional quality outcomes considering business and customer experiences
- Essential: 2+ years of previous release management experience
- Desirable: 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced agile delivery environment
