We work closely with our clients to ensure their financial operations are efficient and compliant. We are currently seeking a **Contract Bookkeeper** to assist our clients with their bookkeeping needs on a flexible basis.

**About the Role**:

- We are looking for a **Contract Bookkeeper** to provide essential financial services to our diverse range of clients. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper seeking flexibility. You will be responsible for handling clients’ day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other statutory compliance reports
- Process payroll, ensuring compliance with award conditions and tax obligations
- Collaborate with clients to resolve bookkeeping and accounting issues
- Provide financial reports and insights to assist clients in managing their businesses
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a public practice or contract role
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience with payroll processing and statutory reporting (BAS, IAS)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
- Relevant qualifications such as Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (preferred but not essential)
