**About the company**:
Our client is a growing Federal Government department who are currently undertaking a number of change projects within the digital space. They are looking for an experienced Project Officer with strong communication and organisational skills to join them on a long-term temporary assignment.

**About the role**:

- You will be working with internal and external stakeholders within a complex project/program environment.
- You will be providing technical expertise and knowledge to the project and operations framework including planning, scheduled, reporting, administration and logístical support.
- You will be assisting with the coordination and support to the governance related to the project’s policy, security, safety, and design.
- You will be developing, managing, and reporting on project plans.
- You will be monitoring and tracking the status of the project at all stages.
- You will be tracking risk management activities.
- You will be monitoring and coordinating contracts and all associated documentation.
- You will be managing contracts, service agreements, purchase orders and associated project costs and expenditure.
- You will be working with and managing various stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.

**About you**:

- You will have extensive experience working within a project or program environment - either at local, state, or federal level.
- You will have previous experience working with tight project deadlines and timelines.
- You will have previous stakeholder engagement experience - communicating and collaborating at all levels.
- You will have experience using MS Office Suite, including Project, Visio, and Microsoft Teams.
- You will have excellent time management experience.
- You will have high attention to detail.
