APS6 Procurement Officer with an attractive hourly rate for a 12-month contract with the Federal Government

**Your new company**
This role is with a federal government agency. Their role is to implement the Scheme to support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

**Your new role**
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Managing and undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities, and processing procurements through the financial management system.
- Maintaining and implementing procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Contributing to procurement planning activities within the wider Procurement Team and across the Agency.
- Providing quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders, including guidance and reporting to the Branch Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Monitoring and progressing work area activities to achieve work area objectives, ensuring consistent and high-quality outputs and maintaining team cohesion.

**What you'll need to succeed**
In addition to your understanding of the MS Office Suite, you will also have:

- Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests
- The ability to multitask and remain composed in a changing and fast-paced environment
- Experience using HR and/or Finance business systems
- Understanding of procurement processes generally
