North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of three Alliance partners - John Holland, KBR and MTM and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.
Since 2017, NWPA has had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removal projects (13 LX) and several premium stations, with two projects currently in delivery (4 LX) and three in development phase.

We are currently looking for a Knowledge and Innovation Lead to join us, based across all Projects on the Alliance.

**About the Role**:
Whilst you will be initially based on the North Western Program Alliance, this is a permanent career opportunity with John Holland.

Reporting to the Transformation Manager, the Knowledge and Innovation Lead will deliver and support strategic innovations, continual improvement projects and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and across the industry.

**Responsibilities of the role include;**:
We strive to lead the industry through our innovation and knowledge management programs through the following:

- Innovation Key Result Area (KRA)_
- Manage achievement of NWPA Innovation and Adoption KRA through:

- Working with project teams to source initiatives and facilitating submissions process
- Reviewing submissions and liaising with Joint Coordination Committee representatives
- Facilitate workshops to identify new initiatives and adoption opportunities
- Maintain the target program for initiatives and report progress to senior management
- Knowledge Management Systems_
- Monitor and support knowledge capture on all NWPA projects including the facilitation of benchmarking, lessons learnt workshops and the delivery of Activity Code Completion Reports
- Facilitate training modules that will assist in knowledge transfer
- Promote, maintain, and continually improve the NWPA Knowledge Centre and respond to project team’s requests for knowledge
- Continual Improvement
- Facilitate implementation of process improvement projects
- Develop business cases including cost benefit analysis
- Knowledge Transfer_
- Ensure positive client and inter-Alliance engagement through active participation in working groups
- Develop two-way communication between NWPA NOPs to facilitate a culture of knowledge sharing
- Proactively engage with other JH projects and JH TEK specialists to facilitate two-way knowledge transfer
- Develop long term relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, universities, and other knowledge partners
- General_
- Promote a culture of inclusion and support for all stakeholders, internal and external
- Perform all duties in accordance with JHG policies processes, systems, reporting and procedures
- Promote NWPA and knowledge management to the wider JHG business through internal and external stakeholder engagements as required (e.g., project site visits, industry conferences)
- Promote a culture of delivery excellence within NWPA through knowledge sharing and celebrating innovation

**To be successful in this role, you will have;**:

- Degree qualified in a STEAM profession eg. Engineering, Technology
- More than 3 years’ experience in Construction, Engineering or Design
- Proven knowledge and innovation management experience in a similar field is desirable
- Understanding of tier-one engineering/construction company and the technical engineering capabilities within such an environment
- Understanding of data analytics, with key experience working within a SharePoint environment and use of PowerBI
- Highly attuned to the business dynamics of a tier-one engineering/construction company
- Experienced in preparing digestible, best-practice documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights to stakeholders and influence change
- Ability to convey complex information in easily understood language
- Personable, customer-focussed, strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Dynamic and results-driven approach contributing to NWPA’s high-performance team culture
