As our Fraud Advisor, you’ll support a team of key specialist Fraud Risk Prevention consultants in our Operational Risk and Assurance function, which sits within the Business Partnering and Risk Advisory space. Our Fraud Risk Prevention team are ace They also serve as the second line center of excellence for the identification, measurement, management, and mitigation of fraud risk at BOQ Group.
The team has responsibility for the development and communication of the Group’s Fraud Risk Management standard, as a component of the overarching Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF). Working collaboratively with, and with guidance from, the Senior Partner Operational Risk - Fraud, you’ll get to support the development and approval of BOQ Group’s Fraud Risk Assessment, including linkages between the risk assessment process outputs, as well as the Divisional and Enterprise Risk Profiles.
The team is also responsible for providing second line fraud risk inputs to product, system and process changes to ensure that impacts to the Group’s fraud risk prevention exposure are understood and managed. You’ll also support the following activities:
- Further develop existing training and awareness practices
- Maintain the Group’s Financial Crime Policy
- Development and maintenance of an enterprise fraud risk assessment (EFRA)
- Support the design and development of fraud risk controls
- Review existing controls and evaluate design and performance effectiveness
- Develop reporting for various areas of the business
- Regular oversight and assurance work to ensure data credibility

**About you**
You’ll join us with some exposure to Operational Risk within the banking and financial services landscape, ideally with a specific focus in Fraud Risk Prevention. What is most important is your strong understanding and knowledge of risk management principles and practices.

As an outcome-driven professional you enjoy proactively communicating with the business to understand and reach their vision - and know how to align it with your teams. Other skills and experience we are ideally seeking include:
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a backlog of enhancements through to completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience partnering with business functions.
- Working collaboratively across divisions to uplift risk maturity.
- Experience in a similar or related role is desirable.
