**Contract Period**: 6 months (possible extension after)

**Pay Rate**: $55.82 - $61.79 per hour + super

**Full-time**: 8 hrs per day and 40 hrs per week

**Primary purpose of the role**:
The Project Officer provides secretariat, program, and project management support services to the Infrastructure Contributions Reform Program; and administration support to the Voluntary Planning Agreements team in the Department’s Infrastructure Policy division.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Secretariat function of the Infrastructure Contributions Reform Program including coordination and documentation of multiple program governance meetings.
- Monitor and report on the Infrastructure Contributions Reform Program schedule, risks, dependencies and attend progress reporting and governance meetings.
- Provide administrative and project support to the Voluntary Planning Agreements team.
- Coordinate requests on behalf of the team such as preparing confidential operational documents, briefing papers, reports and responses to information requests.
- Utilise and maintain comprehensive systems and procedures, including the utilisation of the records management system, and make recommendations for the improvement of processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

**Key challenges**:

- Providing efficient, accurate and timely support to the team to a high standard within tight timeframes, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
- Building an effective network and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the exchange and collation of information.
- Set and achieve work priorities given the need to balance urgent requests and the ongoing work of the team.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 2 years' experience of project management/coordination experience (essential).
- Competent in basic program scheduling software such as Smartsheet / Excel

(essential).
- Experience in process analysis and optimisation (desired).
- Experience with government agencies or corporate organisations (desired).
- Basic knowledge of the planning system (desired).
