Our client, a leading financial services organisation that operate across Australia, is seeking an experienced Security Operations and Incident Manager to join the team and manage all day-day Security Incident responses and operational based activities across the business. This is an excellent contracting opportunity to take your career to the next level where you will be acting as a bridge between the information security team and other IT teams to ensure security is incorporated into all aspects of operations.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external 3rd party vendors and assist with security reviews, monitoring and reporting. You must be an enthusiastic and delivery focused, Cyber Security professional with a can-do-attitude.

**Responsibilities**:

- Respond to and manage IT Security Incidents and take ownership for providing response to incidents with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide support and guide the security analysts to work through DLP matters, alerts and threats.
- Develop and maintain security related and incident management processes.
- Monitor, track and report any vulnerability scanning results, data loss prevention alerts and event management logs and event activities to ensure timely recording, management and closure of incidents and risks.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols and should be able to configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.

- Good experience in implementing security controls to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Should be able to coordinate and collaborate with multiple third-party vendors.
- Able to work independently, with good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines within short time frames and to manage changing priorities.
- Have good experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
- Should have hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering etc.
